The Beach...finally!

We spent nearly the whole day Sunday inside, other than taking the dogs for 4 or 5 walks.  The more windy it got, the colder it got.  But finally at nightfall, the winds died down.  Today was a beautiful day.  72 and sunny with a low last night of around 54.

Enterprise picked me up around 8:30 and upgraded our reservation to a 2012 Chrysler 200 convertible.  SWEET!  I stopped at the grocery and then the RV park office to see about getting a different site.  They were able to move us and now we have plenty of room to sit outside.  The only problem is we are right next the road where there's a lot of foot traffic with folks walking their dogs and taking out the trash.  Miss Jackie will just have to learn to keep herself calm or she will not be allowed to sit outside with us.  Honestly, she only barked at one dog walking by.  Not too bad for Miss Jackie.

We headed to the beach and sat there for about 2-1/2 hours.  The sun on my face and the sand between my toes.  Just what the doctor ordered.

We got back from the beach, rested a bit and then I made a batch of potato salad.  It is now officially Spring Break!

Voltaire drank 50 to 70 cups of coffee per day ~ The Coffee Lovers Handbook

(Dang...I know I've never drank that much a day.  Seriously, that's like 3 cups an hour, 16 hours a day!)

  1. So glad the two of you are on the road again with the kids. Vacations are such wonderful times. Even when things seem to go wrong they make for good stories later. We have a few of those. Have a wonderful time and I will keep up with the blogs. Love to you both, Heidi
