Success!

Thursday morning when we left Virginia, Doug suggested that we call the Camping World in Statesville, NC to see if they could look at the hot water heater, jacks and ice maker since we would be driving right by there.  They scheduled us in, we got there around 10:30 and in an hour, they had us fixed up and on the road again.  The hot water heater and ice maker were simply some water valves set in the wrong position and the hydraulic pump fluid just needed topping off.  They have a huge service department there and very nice folks.

We made our way down through South Carolina, Georgia and finally into Florida.  We stopped at Jacksonville to visit a friend of mine and her husband.  We chatted a bit, got set up and Doug laid down for a nap.  It seemed like a good time for me to finally get the Dish TV activated.  Between phone calls to Dish and Winegard, it took nearly three hours, but we finally have satellite TV!

Last night, we went to dinner with my friend and her husband.  A great Greek restaurant!  Her husband then drove us out to Jacksonville Beach.  The Jacksonville area is huge.  It is the largest city in Florida both in terms of population and land mass.  I was surprised to learn this, thinking that Miami had a larger population.

We will make our way over to Cedar Key this morning.  It's on the west side of the state, east and south of Gainesville.  It's mostly a nature area.  As many times as we have been to Florida, it's an area we have never explored.
